Course Overview

This qualification reflects the roles of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) within the vocational education and training (VET) sector. They may have a role in leading other trainers and assessors and in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO.

Both Domestic & International Students are required to have successfully completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Domestic students
Candidates seeking to complete this course must have a LLN (Math, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) Comprehension level equivalent to year 10 (Australian level).

International Students
Candidate seeking to complete this course must an IELTS 5.5 (minimum level) and a current Student VISA is also required.
Both student types will also need access to a computer for the online learning and formative assessment activities submission.

The successful completion of 10 units made up of:

6 Core + 4 Elective Units

This course is delivered in a blended delivery mode, consisting of face-to-face classes + online learning + work-placement.

Domestic Students
26 – 52 Weeks – 1 day per/fortnight
International Students
26 Weeks – 2.5 day per/wk (20hrs per/wk) includes 2wks holidays.

To help properly prepare you for a real working environment, this course has a requirement of 50 work-placement hours.
Work-placement can either be arranged for you and/or if you are currently working may be done in your own workplace (Some criteria applies).
You must also hold the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid unit, prior to commencing your work-placement.

To achieve this qualification, you (the student) are required to complete the following 2 Assessment Tasks:

  1. Knowledge based questions/activities i.e.
    I. True/False questions
    II. Match the correct answer/s
    III. Multiple Choice questions
    IV. Open and Closed questions
    V. Research projects
  2. Skills based activities
    VI. Scenario based roleplays + Verbal Questioning
    VII. Workplace Logbook
    VIII. Real workplace activities + Verbal Questioning

On successful completion of your enrolled program, you will be issued with a form Australia qualification, if you do not complete the full program, you will be issued with a SOA (Statement of Attainment) for the units you have successfully complete.
