Our Student Support
The following information can and should be used to help give you (The student) and/or your employer comfort in choosing Helix College as the preferred education provider. It covers our Policy and Procedures (Student Handbook – Domestic and International), our Delivery and Assessment methods used, the RPL/Credit Transfer process, Investment process including payment methods, ‘Cooling Off’ period, Course transfers and if required, Course Cancellation.
Email Support
Our friendly team is here to help, this includes our wonderful administration team, our professional training staff and if required Helix College’s management team. When sending an email, it is important you include the following information:
Subject – this should alert to whom the email is addressed to and why examples: Assessment Extension – BSB50420 program
Main Email – this should cover what it is you are after and why (example):
Good morning,
I would like to request an assessment extension for my BSBCRT511 unit within the BSB50420 program, this is due to issues at home.
I would like to ask for a three days extension (add proposed new date of submission here) if possible.
Salutations – this should include your name and phone number
(example: Kindly or Regards John Doe / Ph: 04XX XXX XXX).

When ringing, please be mindful that we have many students and clients that we attend to daily, so before you call, make note of what it is you are after and have your specific questions ready for when we pick up the call.
If you are unable to reach us as the line is busy, please leave you name and a brief message as to why you were calling and we will endeavour to call you back as quickly as possible.
Academic Support
Our highly trained staff are here to help and so to is the organisation as a whole, to help students succeed in their enrolled program, the following systems have been implemented:
General
✅ Industry Engagement
- All of Helix College’s courses have been designed through Industry Consultation, this was done to have each student work-ready on successful completion of their enrolled program.
✅ Marketing
- All programs ‘Marketing’ materials have been supplied to allow prospective students the ability to understand the following:
– programs entry requirements
– mode of delivery
– assessment methods used
– exit information (both education and possible employment opportunities)
– investment
– what you will receive when you have successfully completed the programs
✅ LLN
- Both internal persons and extern agencies have been sourced to help when needed
✅ Enrolment
- Enrolments can be done directly online and/or by emailing and/or calling our friendly team
✅ Investment
- To help our students and clients, Helix College has arranged multiple ways to pay for each program, these are:
– Paid in full on enrolment
– Pay as you go – done for individual units
– Pay in instalments (Payment Plan)
✅ Course Delivery
- All of Helix College’s have been designed to maximise the student’s current lifestyle:
– Face-to face at the college campus
– Blended (Face-to-face + Online learning)
– Online only
– Through RPL and Credit Transfer
– RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) – skills and knowledge used in a working environment (generally informal training and experience) prior to the
CT (Credit Transfer) – past formal education completed
✅ Assessment
- All of Helix College’s have been designed to maximise the student’s learning journey, this way each student gains maximum understanding of what is expected within the industry. Assessment Methods used are:
– Questioning – written and verbal questions to be answered
– Case-studies – Industry based case studies are presented to allow research a
– Structured Activities – scenarios roleplayed to simulate what a live workplace would have within in
– Work-placement – this is where you will complete work experience in a live work environment.
